Caring for Cats is a 501 (c) non-profit cat rescue founded in 2003 in Florida by Margie Schwartz and works solely on donations and with volunteers. The purpose of this rescue is not only to find good homes for homeless and owner-surrendered cats but also to trap stray and feral cats to have them spayed/neutered and to find homes for the adoptable cats. Feral cats, which are too wild and skittish to handle and to adopt out are set free after the spay/neuter and have their ears clipped to be recognized as spayed/neutered.
