The Particle Collector is a flat area at the rear of the triangulated teeth, used for collecting very small pieces of waste.

The Bag Controller is a passive restraint located under the transfer handle, to prevent blousing and bunching when using oversized bags. DIRECTIONS:
1. LOAD. Slip waste bag over transfer handle, between handle and bag controller.
2. SCOOP. Scoop up waste.
3. BAG. Tilt scoop up to drop waste through handle into bag (bag will close when scoop is tilted back down).DISCARD. When all waste has been gathered, remove bag, seal and place in trash. Tips for More Efficient Use:
GRIPPING (IMPORTANT!): Slip Waste Collection Bag onto Transfer Handle between handle and Bag Controller. GRIP handle from the top (DO NOT GRIP BAG CONTROLLER, since it is a passive barrier that restrains the loose underside of the bag from blousing and dragging through the litter).
SCOOPING: Insert scoop at a steep upright angle (70 to 80 degrees) into the litter at one end of the box. When the Scraping Plow contacts the bottom of the box, push the scoop through litter to the opposite end of the box while maintaining the same upright angle. Then tilt scoop upward to allow the collected waste to flow through the handle into the waste bag. Using this technique you will quickly and easily locate, collect, separate and bag waste.
LARGE CLUMPS: If necessary, use Scraping Plow to break up large clumps that don't fit through the handle.
SMALL PIECES: To collect small pieces of waste, slip scoop under the small pieces until the Particle Collector (the flat section at the rear of the triangulated teeth) is directly below the waste. Tilt back, then lift straight up.
BAG CAPACITY: To increase bag capacity, slip Waste Collection Bag further back toward the end of the Transfer Handle.
ZIP-CLOSE BAGS: Instantly seal in urine odor and waste odor with a quick zip. HINT: An easy way to break the seal and open a zip-close bag is to place your thumb and forefinger on opposite sides of the zip closure, squeeze in, then move fingers in opposite directions while maintaining inward pressure.
